2023, A testament to nature<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

The 2023 vintage\u2013a testament to our steadfast dedication to sustainable viticulture at Maison Saint Aix\u2013unfolded amidst a slew of challenges posed by the natural elements. From formidable frost, spring storms and downy mildew to one of the hottest summers in France\u2019s history, our elevated vineyards (among the highest in the appellation) prevailed. We proudly present AIX Ros\u00e9 2023\u2013a vintage that reflects the resilience and spirit of Maison Saint Aix, enduring in an unpredictable year.<\/p>\r\n

AIX Ros\u00e9 2023 mimics its predecessor\u2019s charm. With a profile akin to the 2022 vintage, it unveils light colours and a fresh, aromatic nose. A swirl reveals white stone fruit, citrus and wild berries. What\u2019s more, the 2023 vintage elevates mouthfeel, extending length while maintaining bright freshness and crispness, culminating in a memorable finish for every occasion.<\/p>\r\n

The birthplace of ros\u00e9<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

High up in the hills just north of Aix-en-Provence, away from the heat of the coast, you\u2019ll find a set of ancient stone gates. Beyond them lies the Maison Saint Aix estate. Here, we dedicate ourselves to capturing the essence of this iconic terroir in a single premium ros\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n

Grenache, syrah, cinsault – love, passion & pride<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

With mineral-rich soils, 300 days of sunshine a year and the cooling Mistral winds, Provence provides the ideal growing conditions for Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes, the classic blend used to make AIX Ros\u00e9. Maison Saint Aix is \u200b\u200bone of the largest domains in the AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation. At 420 meters above sea level, it is also one of the highest. And at that height we enjoy cooler nights and a greater Mistral effect, where the vines are restored on dewy mornings, which only benefits the fruit.<\/p>\r\n

The 50-60 year old Grenache vines of the domain ensure a wine of the highest quality, while the fruit from the younger vines provides freshness. To maintain harmony, 4 hectares are replaced every year by new vines.<\/p>\r\n
